When working with laser systems of laser class 3R and higher, serious damage to the human eye can occur. The human eye can be permanently damaged by direct or indirect laser exposure. Retinal injuries mostly occur in the range of 400-1400nm, while defects on the cornea or lens occur in the UV range (190-400nm). Therefore, it is essential to protect the eyes accordingly with the help of appropriate laser safety goggles. Laser safety goggles certified according to the valid standard DIN EN 207 (full protection) comply with legal regulations and safely protect the eyes from dangerous laser radiation.
