When working with laser systems of class 3R and above, serious damage to the human eye can occur. The human eye can be permanently damaged by direct or indirect laser exposure. Retinal injuries mostly occur in the range of 400-1400nm, while defects on the cornea or lens occur in the UV range (190-400nm).
